Andes International, Inc. knew its small beginnings in 1988 in Westport, Connecticut, where Fernando Urquiza, a Chilean native began importing selected, high quality furniture and accessories from South America and Europe.

By pairing the principles of artistry and business sense, his venture was a success and he soon opened a workshop in Chile, allowing him to control the manufacturing of high quality furniture. What began as a small group of 10 soon burgeoned to include more than 100 employees; keeping the original group of craftsmen but enhancing the company by adding more of the best furniture makers found in this part of the world.
